My name is Colm O’Regan. I’m a self-confessed coffee nut who probably drinks a little too much of the stuff every morning (if there is such a thing as “too much coffee“).
And I founded Moderno Coffee with the goal of providing the best coffee guides and reviews on the web. An ambitious aim to be sure, as there are already some quality sites with great coffee information out there.
But my love of coffee is only matched by my love of writing for the web, research, and marketing.
You could say that’s my superpower: blending an obsession with coffee with a passion for conveying information through the written word. So I’m confident I’m up to the task ;).
But I wasn’t always so enthralled by coffee. When I first tried it, I couldn’t stand the taste! It was like a combination of burnt wood, tar, and chocolate all wrapped up into a single beverage. Yuck!
So for years I stuck to drinking tea and didn’t try coffee again until a few years later.
Fast forward to 2023 and now just the smell of coffee brewing has me drooling, ha!
Of course, I don’t pretend to be an expert. I’m not a professional barista and I’ve never worked in the coffee industry. I just drink the stuff! But I’m committed to providing coffee lovers with the information they need to make solid buying decisions.
